More artwork from STB Aviation Art Concepts LLC, this is a REAL modern aircraft panel painted with airplane markings and details of the C-47 Skytrain troop carrier "That's All Brother" that was the lead troop carrier aircraft during Operation Overlord on 6 June 1944. This aircraft also flew to Normandy in June 2019 to commemorate the 75th Aniiversary of D-Day. This would be a nice panel for autographs. The artwork is painted on a REAL MODERN AIRCRAFT PANEL Not a C-47 or WW2 panel! That I found through aircraft parts salvage. I cut this from a Cessna 175 engine cowling piece. The panel is painted with enamel paints and lightly weathered. Reverse side is painted with sage green to replicate the ZnCr green corrosion paint but light enough to show the panel's original weathering. Two hooks are on the reverse for easy hanging.
I create these pieces of artwork with my own unique methods and ideas for the military enthusiast and collector. Panel measures about 13.25 x 35. P lease Note: This panel is painted with a reproduction of the aircraft's artwork. This piece is NOT an authentic WW2 panel, but painted on a modern prop aircraft piece. This piece should NOT be used to repair an aircraft! It's for display only.
I will a lso not make any further modifications to the panel. I've listed as "new" since it's new artwork if that makes sense. These real aircraft panels are not easy to find but I offer them at a reasonable price for the aviation enthusiast. I spend a lot of time finding, cutting, prepping and painting these panels for all of us to enjoy and to honor the military aviation history of WW2 and other conflicts. I believe in honoring these military aviators the best way possible and preserving history.
